SIN IS NO LONGER A PROBLEM WITH GOD! Hopefully that got your attention! The Bible says in Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God." Receiving the gift of salvation and eternal life is very easy, in fact the easiest thing you will ever do in your life and the rewards last for eternity. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
John 3:16 is one of the most foundational verses in the Bible it says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." God almighty became a perfect man, Jesus Christ, and made the ultimate sacrifice and paid for every sin that has ever or will ever be committed. Jesus took care of the sin problem and we are no longer seperated from God by sin. Now that is good news!
"Now wait just a minute buddy!" " I have always heard that God will get you if you sin, maybe make you sick if you don't do what's right?" " I mean after all, insurance policies talk about bad things that they aren't liable for like "Acts of God". "Doesn't God judge people with hurricanes and other natural disasters, like he did in New Orleans?" Absolutely NOT, and he didn't judge New Orleans or any of the other people in that disaster! 1 john 4:16 says, "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him." God loves us so much that He poured out all of His wrath on Jesus and he paid for our sins so we wouldn't have to. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says "For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin: that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." If God is love, and He in the form of Jesus suffered and died for all of the sins of the world, why would he still be punishing people for something that He already paid for? That doesn't even make sense! Even my simple mind can figure that out. God is no longer holding peoples sins against them. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 says, "And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given us the ministry of reconciliation. To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, NOT IMPUTING their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation."
Well look you say, "I don't sin, I don't drink or cuss or chew, or run with those that do...Why do I need to be saved?!? The fact is, that everyone sins, everyday either contiously or uncontiously every single day. Romans 3:23 says, "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." God's law is very specific if you sin in one area you have broken the whole law. We can NEVER live up to God's standards, He is perfect and demands perfection. James 2:10 says, "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." YIKES!! God does not view sin the way that we do. Murder is the same thing as gluttony according to God's law! God is infinitely perfect, He cannot lie, He cannot be tempted, He is the definition of perfection. Well, you say, "I keep the ten commandments I have never broken one of them!" "Why do I need to be saved? I'm a good person." For starters there are a lot more than 10 commandments in the Bible and just let me let you in on a little secret...have you ever thought of something good to do...maybe you thought you should write a thank you note to someone for something nice they have done for you and you just never got around to it? Maybe you spoke in a disrespectful tone to your parents. Let's see what the Bible says. James 4:17 "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin." The point is very simple, no one is righteous. Romans 3:10 says, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one." We are only made righteous and acceptable to God through faith in Jesus Christ and that is it! Everyone needs this grace and it is there for the taking. He loves you more that your mind can ever comprehend. Would you die for someone you loved? He even died for the people that nailed Him to the cross. That's the way God loves. His love is perfect.
Well, what do I need to do? Romans 10:9-10 says simply, "That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and shall believe in your heart that God hath raised Him from the dead you shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Hey... I didn't make these easy rules I am just telling you what the Bible says. Jesus wants to be your best friend. He wants to bless every part of your life, just believe in Him and accept His free gift of eternal life!
"Ok, I did it I am saved! I accepted the free gift! What happens if I go do some sin, is that still cool?" First of all... like I said in the very beginning of this letter, all sin has been paid for by Jesus. If you go have a drink or several drinks, smoke cancer sticks, have premarital sex, say a bunch of curse words, hold up a bank, kill someone, or just flick off the jerk that just cut you off in traffic...God does not look at you any different than he does right now, your spirit is still perfect, it is now His spirit. You have a brand new spirit that God has sealed and perfected. You now have the spirit of Jesus Christ himself living on the inside of you. Ephesians 1:13 says " In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise." He goes even further in 1 John 3:9 and says " Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." Your body and mind can obviously still committ sin but your spririt is perfect and cannot sin. "Well that's totally cool! So, why can't I just continue doing whatever I want?" Well, you can, and God still loves you exactly the same. Here is the down side. Sin will give satan a path into your life to destroy you and believe me he really hates you now. Besides that living a life of debautchery and sleeping with just whomever can cause you some real problems that you may have already experienced. Hold up the local 7-Eleven and God still loves you just the same but unless you are very clever there is a good chance you are going to jail and God didn't put you in jail, you would have done that to yourself, and that's not cool! Even though Romans 8:1 says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." God won't condem you if you sin but other people will as well as your on thoughts. Beside if you are really loving people like God wants us to you won't be doing bad things to them. Again, God loves you regardless and you are perfect in His sight. God wants you to live a full and happy life.
Jesus told His disciples that He gave them a new commandment which is really easy to remeber. Check it out...John 13:34-35 says "A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one for another." Get it... love is where it's at! Look at Mathew 22:37-40 "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." Again, it's about love.
So, get yourself a Bible (King James Version) and start reading it in the New Testament in the book of John. All of the promises of peace, health, prosperity, and eternal life are in there for you. Pray for God to help you understand it and He will. James 1:9 says, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." If you want to pray with someone I would highly reccomend you call Andrew Wommack Ministries at (719) 635-2111. We do sell products and we use 90% of the profits to to help different ministries and charities as well as others in need. We are showing the love of God. So, if you want to buy something, that would be great we think wearing the Bible all of the time is a great reminder of the Love of God. If you don't that's perfectly ok as well because Phillipians 4:19 says..."But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." This is a promise for you as well. God has his own economy and he makes the rules, not the folks on Wall Street. Christ is our source for everything and above all we hope you will accept this free gift of salvation and receive all of the blessings our Father has for you. You will never regret it. James 1:2, "Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied."
